Pianist Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort
Thanks to the support of various fellowships of Fulbright, the Belgian American Educational Foundation (BAEF) and the Robus Foundation, Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort perfected his piano skills at various renowned institutions. He first attended the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and completed his eduction at prestigious music college institutions in the Netherlands, Germany and the United States. That way, Liebrecht enjoyed an ideal musical education for gaining his laureate prize during the International Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2007.
Since then, Liebrecht has performed on important stages worldwide with renowned orchestras and musicians. Many of those collaborations resulted in various CD productions.
In addition, Liebrecht is a passionate artistic director of two major music events in his home country, Belgium :
- Festival ‘Klassiek Leeft’ – Knokke-Heist since 2014
- Piano LAB Alden Biesen – Bilzen since 2021
