Piano LAB celebrates fifth anniversary with unique piano festival in Alden Biesen
Bilzen-Hoeselt, 20 August – Piano LAB is celebrating its fifth anniversary and will mark this special milestone on September 12 and 13 with an exceptional piano festival at the stunning grounds of the Landcommanderij Alden Biesen. In collaboration with its long-standing and loyal partner Alden Biesen, Piano LAB will bring together pianists from different generations over two days for a festival that is unique in Belgium, both in terms of its format and its artistic ambition.
The festival offers a unique opportunity for promising young Flemish pianists to perform alongside renowned international pianists. The program features, among others, Barry Douglas, Jef Neve, Florian Noack, Severin von Eckardstein, Vitaly Samoshko, Levi Schechtmann, and Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort.
This gives visitors the opportunity to discover Flanders’ most promising young piano talent while also enjoying performances by established names from the international piano world. This combination of generations, styles, and musical perspectives is at the heart of the Piano LAB Festival.
Two days of piano music
The festival will take place on September 12 and 13 at the historic castle grounds of the Landcommanderij Alden Biesen in Bilzen-Hoeselt. This unique location serves as the backdrop for a two-day program centered on the piano, where music lovers can enjoy a diverse lineup of artists.
