It is finally here, the day we have been waiting for since finishing our 2024 Piano LAB edition last summer… We are announcing our 2025 edition today!
Yet again, we welcome exceptional piano students from around the world to Grand Commandery Alden Biesen for a week of intense focus, musical growth and inspiring encounters. Apply before 15 April!
What do we offer?
Our 2025 edition starts on 12 July and ends on 19 July. During this week, each participant receives at least one hour of coaching with one of the faculty members per day, with guaranteed access to a personal rehearsal room for the remainder of the day. Three (joint) meals per day are provided, as is the case with additional workshops, peer concerts, sports and recreational activities. Our Piano LAB starts with an opening concert by our faculty on the 12th and a closing concert by (a selection of) our participants on the 19th!
We are honoured to have the support of an impressive faculty team, who will be guiding the participants every step along the way. This year, we welcome Ingrid Fliter, Mateusz Borowiak, William Youn, Barry Douglas and artistic director Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort as our trusty mentors.
